Cheshire East Council
Due to e*SCAPE’s experience working with housing developers, Cheshire East Council appointed us to develop comprehensive design guidance to ensure all future residential development in the Borough was undertaken to a high standard and in sympathy with the context in which it was set. The guidance consists of two volumes. Volume 1 sets the scene and analyses the vernacular and varied character of the borough, whilst Volume 2 drills down to the specific guidance requirements expected, using urban design best practice and Building for Life 12 as the benchmarks to which developers are expected to work.
